We're having the same problem but it only seems to happen once a week. I don't know how to use the boiler so I don't use the timer switch. Just turn it on when I need it. Started every thursday - no hot water. A few weeks ago, it changed to wednesday, last week Tuesday, this week Monday and still no hot water. It usually rights itself within the day but so far this time it hasn't. Heating works fine.

please can you tell me why my britannyhot water boiler sometimes is really hot ,thenlukewarm after a while,iff i turn water down slower,it gets hot again.is it the thermostat

One thing I can say after 11 years of this make of boiler is replace it. My Cheux Britany Boiler broke down a record 200 times over this period!! It cost a huge £6000 total, for my landlord, to repair so just get a new one. Valient are quite good but read the manual incase the water pressure goes down.

Can I also add that when we first turn the tap on after leaving it a while it runs warm or hot for a few seconds then goes back to cold again.
