Ravenheat combi boiler. How can I have hot water without heating on?

I have a Ravenheat RSF 84ET combi boiler about 4 or 5 years old. Hot water is only available when the heating is on. So if I want to have a hot shower the heating has to be on. Expensive and uncomfortable in this weather!

I am a competent mechanical engineer.
