The machine failed to go through a cycle and in fact had not even moved an inch. Previously the machine had been getting louder when it was spinning. On removing the small back plate I discovered the drive belt had broken. I have ordered a new one but am slightly unsure on how to put the new one on. Any help or guidance would be welcome.

chances are the bearings have gone so replaing the belt will only be a temporary solution. however to replace the belt put the belt on the small motor spindle then put it on the bigger wheel slowly rotating the wheel as you do so.
