im TRYING to fit a new bathroom suite in my house and theres a problem with toilet. When the lid is off the cistern it fills without a problem and you can flush using the internal button but as soon as i put the lid on the cistern it immediatly flushes, when the lid is on you can hear the cistern flushing but water is constantly dripping into the bowl. Please Help!!!

the plastic tube/bar/rod on underside of button is too long therefore when you put lid on, the syphon is being slightly opened which will allow a trickle of water without a full flush,either adjust or cut tube until lid can be placed on cistern without opening syphon.be careful not to cut off too much.
