i have a peugeot 307, 2007 model i have taken out the factory fitted stereo and put in a new one. there is power to the unit because it lights up when i put in a cd or eject a cd but it does not power up to play the cd. is there some kind of over ride mode in these new cars.

Are you sure the replacement actually works ?
Are you using the correct wiring connector for the car ?
