How can I fix my washing machine, Diplomat, APM 8513/2?

when washer is filling with water it is not continuous. it stops and starts. the drum isn't going round on spin or wash.
brushes and belt have been checked all ok

We had the same fault with our washer and it turned out it was the internal circuit board. These cost £100.00 to buy and not easily to diagnose as faulty.

Hi Milly,it could be a few faults. The stop start could be the mains filter.Check for burnt wiring on this.It is the white box top right where the mains cable goes to.
Does the machine overfill,if so then the pressure tub will be blocked.
I note it will not tumble either so the next thing will be the module.The module on this model operates the fill valves and also motor action.This looks favourite.This is in the white box bottom right facing the machine and has 3 connector plugs on it.easy repair.
Part number is: 546021400 It will be about £50-£60 inc vat and postage normally.
