How to change burned out night light bulb GE Spacesaver Microwave?

Both bulbs broke in my attenpt to unscrew them from their sockets. How do I unscrew the bulb base from the socket now that the bulbs are broken from the base?
GE Spacesaver, model HDM1853WJ02, 1.8 cu ft 1100 watt, installed July 2005.

I just ran into the same problem with the identical microwave (mine was installed in May of 2005). Did you get a resolution?

I have removed the entire bulb housing and found that those geniuses at GE *glued* the bulbs into the sockets! No wonder both bulbs broke away from the base. It looks like they want to get a service call to replace a light bulb. What a crock.

I'm planning to replace both sockets and bulbs but can't find the part numbers for either. I have an email into GE parts to see if I can find out what they are. I'll reply again if I get this worked out.

For reference -- I did find a diagram of the microwave and the parts I need are labeled 29 and 31. Here is a link to the diagram:
