Dishwasher soap tablet not disolving. Why?

Have a Diplomat dishwasher from MFI. Dishes coming out dirty. Have found that dishwasher tablets are not disolving. Not coming out of container. Even when placed in cutlery tray they are still not disolving. Tablets are 'Finish'. Have used others but same trouble. HELP.

Brian, I read with interest your E3 problem. Ive got Diplomat ADP8226 indicating E3 water temp problem and will check the element and supply as your suggestion and before buying a new element. The detergent door hasnt been releasing either but I think this pre-existed the E3. Is this a temperature problem because of the E3 or is the dispenser purely timed to release in the cycle and not related to temperature. Ive not investigated yet so guess it may be a loose spring. Any comments to martinspencer28@aol.com
Cheers.

Just found my E3 problem, the brown wire coming from the controller to the heater was snapped inside the black jacket where the door is hinged. This prevented the heater from getting 240v. Check the door thermostat it should be 2400 ohms and reducing with an increase in temperature. The heating element should be about 26 ohms.

I would guess that the water is not heating and that is why the tablets are not dissolving. Do you get error code e3 at the end of the cycle.
