having same error message problems?

Yesterday my computer was running slow, so I was going to delete some programs that I don't use anymore. I deleted directX only and it said I needed to restart my computer to finish the process, so I did. And now my computer only loads up to my desktop picture and I get the error message:The Application Failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005) Click OK to terminate. So I do and nothing happens. I need help. And I can't get into my computer to do anything.

directx may be a program you dont use but the system does. basically your software/os uses directx to display graphics, play sounds ect. you dont specify your os/operating system windowsxp ect. try holding down F8 whilst booting up and select safe mode, then use system restore to restore to a time before you removed directx.
