msn wasn't working on my toshiba laptop that i got at x-mas.I deleted it and tried to download again but now it is saying it cannot download.i have made a new account name and everything but nothing seems to work! i haven't got firewall either so it can't be that.

yes i had the same problem i uninstalled the prog (live messenger its now called) and i clicked on: MY COMPUTER> C: drive > Documents and settings > (your name) > Application Data > Microsoft > MSN messenger (or Live messenger depending on which version you have) and I simply deleted the folders then went onto the windows live messenger site and downloaded it again and installed it and it worked!! only took me about 4hrs to suss it out lol! but it worked for me :) hope that helps
