I have a vulcan continental boiler which is about 20 years ols.It has only now started giving me problems.I could begin to smell gas and called a corgi regd man in who disconnected it saying the gas valve was faulty and that i neede a full new system at around 2000.Can anew gas valve not be replaced?Please help

the gasvalve could possibly be replaced depending on the type and make and valve can you describe the valve or give and data printed on it
