how can i fix my laptop it is an IBM LAPTOP ?

numbers are coming up on one side of the keyboard for example the right side the letters k, l,p,i,j,u etcwhen typing any of these numbers will come up instead of the actual letter

You may have notice the the NumLock symbol is illuminated? You may also have notice that those keys have numbers printed on them?

Press Shift ScrLk to switch numlock off.

ThinkPads Have very good Help built-in. I'd try that next time you have a problem.
