Hygena APL8214/2 Integrated Dishwasher does not drain?

The drain pump gets power at the right places but makes a strange noise and won't pump the water out. I removed the motor and it is not blocked. The rotor is sort of 'steppy' like there are some permanent magnets involved. It runs OK with the rotor housing off (and consequently no water) - what could be going on? Could there be a blockage upstream or what?

Rinse cycle continues to pour in water and does not stop causing leakage as the machine continues to fill up.

Hi David
I have a Hygena APL8224/1 dishwasher, it suddendly stop washing. I manage to figured out that the circulation pumb was wasn't working.

Dismantle the circulation pumb and carried out buzzer test on coils and noticed there is a temperature fuse is attached to the coil and it was blown out.

it cost me only £0.67 to replace.

I would suggest, check for any faulty fuses before buying any parts.

Hi David,it could be the rotor blade has detatched from the spindle and under pressure will not turn. Also sometimes these pumps fail with heat, the hot drain water.Check to see if there is a black non return flap where the pump joins the sump, somtimes that detatches and blocks the pump. The spigot on the sink is clear?
If all these are okay, then I would suggest a new drain pump.Part no. 31X7834, Hope all goes well.
All the best.
