how do I set the chimes to match the time?

I was given a Empor clock I have not manual I do not even know how old the clock is It keeps very nice time but the chimes are off on the hour by about six hours how do I set the chimes to match the time

most clocks will work with this fix. using theminute hand set the clock to the next oclock position. note how may times the clock strikes. now move the hour hand to correspond with the number of times the clock struck. Now you have it fixed

slowly turn the hour hand CLOCKWISE allowing the clock to STRIKE each quarter until we come upon the hour, assuming the hour HAND is fitted correctly the clock should chime 4 quarters then start to strike the HOURS at this point COUNT the number of strikes lets say 7 the hour finger on the clock is on 2 o clock no problem catch hold of the hour hand close to the MIDDLE of the spindle and ROTATE it round to the 7 position fingers are now nearly set .carry on turning each quarter ALLOWING to strike
until we come to 12 o clock at this point BOTH FINGERS need to line up so that you only see 1 finger now give the hour hand a gently PUSH on to the spindle using fingernail pressure either side of the clock hour finger
