The door on my Servis Gem 1000 won't open because the handle as broken. Any help please, washing still inside.

I had the same problem. What I did was to get a screwdriver and insert it under the plastic stem that is broken, (you should be able to see 2). Gently ease the screwdriver away from you, and thus moving the plastic piece out towards you. At the same time, with your other hand open the door. It should open freely. Make sure the electricity supply is turned off.
