Zanussi zx99 fridge freezer (frost free)?

My zanussi "frost free" fzx99 fridge freezer is no longer frost free? can anyone tell me why this is. We get masses of ice build up at the bottom (freezer). Apart from having to remove a bucket of ice every week the unit is OK.

auto defrost heater or sensors could be at fault but you would need multimeter to test and need to strip it down to gain access
