i know that around my house they sell what is called a disk doctor, or we go to the local game stop and they repair for only 2 dollars!
if you get good there is a trick i use with a lighter but you shouldn't try it if you don't know what your doing cause you'll ruin the cd more than fix it!
i usually put my pointing finger in the center hole and my thumb on the outer edge take a lighter (i use only a bic because the others the flame is either too high or too low) then i light the lighter and move the flame not too fast but not too slow just a little rythm back and forth from the center whold to the outer edge just back and forth while spinning the cd with my thumb!!!
It doesnt get rid of the scratches but it does smooth it over so the cd wont skip when reading it
