tv when first turned on ,goes from standby mode(red light)to on(green light)but with no picture and is stuck in this position with all buttons/remote inoperable.if i turn the set on/off several times from the mains it often releases and the picture appears.i realise this is a tempory fix so any advice would be grateful in regards to what is wrong,with thanks

hi javaid, i dont know whether its coincidence or not but i disconnected all the connections and gave them a good blow out and also made sure there was no accumulation of dust around back of set and this seems to of rectified my problem,hope this may help you.

I have a 37 inch LG LCD TV and have a similar problem. It reacts to the Blu Ray player attached, sometimes it just freezes and you can't switch it off using the remote or the button on the tv. Let me know if you hear anything.
