Kenmore Washing machine Repair?

Hi, I have a Kenmore 90 series washing machine. It works perfect until the very end of a spin cycle, at that time the agitator stops turning and starts making a horrible banging noise as if the load is uneven (it is not) We do not have any manuals to see how to fix or take care of this issue.
We also are not able to see the model number as the place we bought it from scratched it off (long story)
Any advice would be great!

My Beko had the same problem. It turned out to be a broken seal and bearings on the bowl (peice holding the clothes). Anyway, the repair was going to be £70 for a local technician and £20-30 for me on parts. It takes quite a bit of diassembly on mine, as well as a bit of hammering (to get out the old bearings. You need to seal them proerly too. I decided not to fix it and get another one.... check into parts at www.espares.co.uk. Good luck. JC

It sounds like the same problem with ours. How did you solve it?
