need to fix ceiling light?

My son managed to pull the ceiling light and now it won't work. It doesn't look that complicated and as I can't afford an electrician and can usually do these things myself what could be wrong with it?

The two wires do not look as though they have been pulled out of the ceiling but I don't know what I am supposed to be looking at.

Kind regards.

Always match the colors, white to white, black to black, sometimes a switch leg, which means one black in and one out to the switch.
Best to get someone that knows what is going on as opposed to risking fire or electrocution. Thats one reason electricians aren't cheap.

Sorry but it's an electricians job.

Shop around friends and neighbours you may get one who's competent and will do it for a fiver assuming it's just the light rose pendant wire that's been pulled on that's about 4mins for and electrician.
