when i turn on my washing machine its a hotpoint wf620 it just displays test can anyone help

Turn on the Machine, press start and wait for the test to run. It should take about 2 minutes. when you see the machine has desplayed END thats when you press and hold down the on & off buttons for 5 seconds.

my machine is now working perfect!

Someone has accidentally pressed some buttons and locked you into test mode.
To get out of it you need to press start, the display should go daft. Press start again and the display should settle down. Now press the on/off button and the start button at the same time and hold them down for a few seconds until the display shows d-end or d-off.
Your machine should now work.
