my fridge and freezer have stopped working,there are indications the motor is still going,but when i press the fast freeze button a tapping can be heard from the red triangle above the door and the interior light goes on and off,prior to this there was a sound like ice falling, any suggestions please.

Try turning it off for 24 hours as it sounds like you have ice in a few tubes. Once the ice has defrosted at should all work ok hopefully.
