Roger Black Treadmill motor stops after 10mins?

While using my rogerblack treadmill, after about 10mins of use, the motor speed slowed down and eventually stopped after 30sec. It would not start after this. The display screen is perfect. Incline mode and time all working fine. I checked and their is power to motor.

The following day I tried it again. The motor ran fine again for about 2mins., then slowed down and speeded up a bit. Eventually after 20sec. it stopped again.

I have a roger Black running machine and its brand new ;
it has become very noisy the only answer I can give
anyone is as the advise of one already "DON'T BUY ROGER BLACK RUNNING MACHINES". THEY ARE RUBBISH.

Hi my R-B works fine had it for years, dont stand on belt and start up it puts to much strain on motor, stand on side pannels and set speed to 2.0 and then step on and speed up, the same when getting off hope this helps.

m richards, April 2012
it is possible to remove the motor and have it overhauled new brushes etc cheaper than buying a new motor that what i done cost me £45.00 now i have a fully refurbished motor

john, July 2011
il tell you what the answer is, dont buy a rodger black tredmill, ive alittle under 200 mile on mine in the year that ive got it and the motors knackered in it already, complete balls! id say

conor fullen, November 2010
Sorry i dont have an answer for you but if it is any consulation my RB Gold Treadmill needed a new motor after nearly a year. It had not done many miles.

Alex Oldman, September 2010
Just had mine to an electrician mate of mine and he said the motor isnt realy great for any serious running and basicaly its nackered.well he did say it may be fixable but the cost to do this and the fact it might not last long afterwards makes it unadvisable

charlie, July 2009
yes it is a problem with the motor i was told that's why you can not get anyone on the web they have close them all down, i need help to.

Richard, May 2009
It was my brushes that were jamming (the spring wasn't pushing them onto the rotor) inside the motor.

JP, January 2009
I have just bought one from ebay too and paid £35 delivery for an ex display model. It's not working at all, does anyone have any ideas?

chocolate.brownie, October 2008
My motor seems dead. It would struggle to move on low speed and now does not seem to move at all. Is there any place i could contact for a replacement motor???

JP, September 2008
Hi it could be a few things
The motor is drawing to many amps,
causes could be running belt to tight /
running belt/ board needs lubricating
motor drive belt to tight
using a long extension leed
Not enough power to the machine should be 240volts Ac at plug
Motor faulty the list goes on

hirefitnessequipment@yahoo.com, September 2008
I exprienced the same after six months of using the RB Silver treadmill. As its still under support they going to change the motor.
They ordered a new motor witouth looking at the treadmill so must be a known problem

KP, September 2008
George,
I have not got the answer for you, but would like to know if you have sourced the problem?
Our RB treadmill is only 1 wk old and is doing the same (apparently EX Display E-bay so cannot return)

Cheers
Dave
