Hi it sounds like it's either overheated as this is common in these radios and a module has blown on the inside, It is repairable and could cost around the £75.00. The same happened to me and i had this repaired. Also can o help me, im after a copy of the SAT NAT CD for the VNR 9000 and will pay good money if your interested.
