some machines do not have a adjustable gate bit to tension belt these rely on the STRETCH of the belt to fit . first check drum for bearing failure (up and down movement in the drum ) if O K put the the belt on the motor pulley line up the grooves now feed the belt onto the large pulley wheel ,as the belt feeds on to the big pulley help it by turning the pulley wheel (like replacing a chain on a bike)
