on off switch doesnt seem to work on my indesit w143 and no power goes to it ive replaced plug and fuse but its still dead any suggestions pls

first check power supply to the socket (use the kettle to test it does it work ? yes/no if yes the on/off switch needs to be tested, if no check fuse board for a tripped contact- breaker out
