how much to repair a timing belt snapped?

i need to repair a renault kangoo 1.9d. the timing belt snapped. how much will cost?

Hi Ricky, the book time is 2.6hrs plus parts the belt and tensioner £30~60 plus other sundries so your looking at something around £300, If your a DIY man I can email you the instructions on how to replace the belt, but your engine is what the call an "interferance fit engine" that means that in the event of a cambelt failure piston to valve contact is very likely so a compression check should be carried out prior to replacing the cambelt otherwise you will have to remove the cambelt again to remove the cylinder head!! nige110162@hotmail.co.uk
