How do I know if it's my thermostat? - ZX99/5SI?

The fridge (top) section of my Zanussi ZX99/5SI fridge/freezer has stopped cooling. The freezer (lower) section is still working fine.

I suspect the fridge thermostat is broken hence, the pump supplying the fridge is not starting up....?

Do you think this could be the problem? or something else?

How do I replace a thermostat?

Please Help..........

its not a stat fault as there isn't one in this as such, it's all electronic with sensor probes.it could be faulty evapourator/air sensor probes or it's a defrost heater fault.to prove the above switch off appliance for 24hr and leave all the doors open to fully defrost cabinet.now turn it back on for 24hrs and it should now work.the above fault will return normally within 1 month but you know for sure that its one of the above faults
