Looks like a common problem.

Start a programme.

Machine fills with water.
Water pump starts then light begins to flash 8 then a pause.
Programme dial starts going round.

I have checked:
Pipe from drum to pump
Pump
Pipe from pump to drain
PCB has not got any burns
all connectors are pushed home.

Any thoughts?

We appear to have the same problem with the same model after a house move. We've got a washing machine full of water that won't drain. Have you had any success in getting it working without calling someone out?

I sent an e-mail to Indesit and got a reply. Here it is:

The error F08 indicates that the heater relay is stuck. This could be a fault with either the pressure switch, heater or the module connections.
