My Hotpoint Aquarias 1200 washing machine isn't draining?

Our Hotpoint Aquarias washing machine seems perfectly fine except for the fact that at the end of its spin cycle, the water doesn't drain.

blocked filter failed/blocked pump, drain outlet pipe blocked.
clean the sump filter, and check all pipes to the drainpipe outlet, along the way check the pump for blockage and operation.
(a new pump maybe required.)
