Diplomat Dishwasher ADP8252 - when switched on shows P0 and beeps twice. It will not move on to select any programme.

Hi I have a problem with the dishwasher. the water inlet valve was not working so I replaced it and the water is coming through but it is not opening the tablet compartment and the digital display is a bit faulty not all the numbers come up properly

Hi Sue, can you look at the door lock in the control panel.It may be the locking pins in the panel have broken on one side, this leaves the lock closed when it should be open.The machine will not accept a programme as it thinks the door is shut.Flick the lock forward with a small screwdriver and it should take a programme.A new panel is quite cheap.Hope it is this, All the best.
