my phillips cd player was playing fine and then stopped and now is always saying no disc to every cd I put in can anyone help

it is probably dust or dirt on the laser lens..it can be cleaned with a cotton bud dipped in meths or alcohol..be careful and do this delicately.and always switch off during this work...if you dont know the laser lens is the little eye you can see when you open up the lid of your cd player..or on large models it is underneath where you place the cd disc
