i have broken the back hinge on the ds, and the ribbon cable has torn, ?

i have a new case, if ican buy the ribbon cable can i just plug t in

It is a simple repair if you know what you're doing. The cable needs to be routed through the hinge of the case along with another wire. If you are not sure i can repair it for £30 including return postage.
