Be prepared to get some water on the kitchen floor! You'll need a mop handy.
Make sure the machine is empty of both your crockery (which makes it too heavy) and water (which should have pumped out anyway).
You need to tip the machine backwards to let overflow water out of the sump. That will reset the float switch (in theory) and allow the system to work again. I've just done this with mine (I had the same indication) and it's working again now.
