When I burn CDs I get a Blue Screen of Death. Stop 0x0000000A?

When I try to burn a CD my PC crashes and Blue Screens! This is the only time I ever have these sorts of problems.

What could be doing this?

The error message is .........

"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" further down "STOP 0x0000000A"

I am not sure if it is a problem with either Windows or Roxio (the software I use to burn CDs) or if it is a problem with the way that the BIOS is configured.

Typically that is a memory problem.

1st. If it has only started since installing the CD-R software then uninstall it.
2nd. Run a memory dignostic program to check your ram is ok, also get a registry cleaner.
3rd. If the memory checks out, then install the software, update your your CD drivers and update the software incase there were any bigs in the old version.
4th. Like the last answer, start to record at the slowest speed, then on the next, build up the speed, etc. 2X, 4X, 6X, 8X ...

Hope this works

it could als be a ram problem
try burning at alsower rate and or try to take ram out one chip at a time to see if this helps
first i would reinstall roxio
then reinstall newest drivers for the cdr
then try ram trouble shooting
