Brake wear indcator on ford Galaxy 1997?

is the brake wear indicator the same as the ABS warning light, as i think my brakes are low but the abs warning light is on.

I don't think it's your brakes that's causing the warning light coming on. Our Galaxy is having a repair as I write this.. The break wear indicator and ABS light come on when I turn up the heater, so they seem to be connected. With the warning lights on, cabin heater and windscreen wipers don't work!

If somebody knows about this, please help!
