I have french windows with two locking doors. Neither door handle will now lift to allow the doors to be locked. This is regardless of whether the doors are open or closed (i.e. against the frame). They're Mila locks. Is there anything I can do to check what I need without an expensive call out?

they dont usually break at same time,have you locked your door when open and now handles wont move?if they have gone it could be the lock itself and you will need to replace with new or top or bottom shoot bolts have jammed,take them off then try door lock again,if locks are ok put shoot bolts back on and try again.hope this helps
