drill two holes through the paddles from side to side at the two ends right above the fixing points. get two plastic cable ties and loop through the drum and paddle. you will need a thin nosed pliers to pull the tie through. tighten the cable ties so that the paddle is tight to the drum. cut cable tie close to the female end the use a lighter or a match to melt the sharp edges. I've done this on two paddles that came off. its a design fault.
