You probably need a 308830001 output shaft assembly. Your best bet is www.homelite.com, then support and parts. Type “hedge trimmer attachment” (without quotes) in the search box and select one of the two – If it is fairly new it is probably a UT-15703. When you select it you will get a diagram of the parts and can add the correct part to your basket. Use the plus magnifier in the upper left to blow the diagram up.
If it is really just a washer you can probably duplicate it at a hardware store.
