E10 on Zanussi WJS 1265 W Washer Dryer?

Hi all, I have the above error code and think I have narrowed it down to a faulty 3 way valve. I have found the right replacement part here

http://www.partmaster.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=280442

but want to know how I test this with a multimeter to check if it is open circuit, and how I replace it? Is it easy to do? Many thanks, Damian

I had an E10 error code trying to use dryer and replaced the 3 way solenoid valve with new one from partmaster. Dryer still not working after new valve fitted. Any other ideas?

Hello i had a problem that the drum would keep fillin even when the machine was off so i opened the top and took the valve assembly out just try and mark the 3pipes so that when you put it back you know which pipe goes where .These are actually slenoid valves that open as they are supplied with 220 volts so take care when you check them while connected in the machine. Once you have the valve assembly out its fairly easy to open each valve.I worked it out that if you rap a cloth around the plastic and use pliers then turn it anticlockwise it will unscrew and then you can examine the internal bits in my case there was blockage due to hard water but i also increased the sie of the spring by pulling it carefully so that the valve shuts tight after the machine has taken water. You can check each individual valve by measuring the resistance on the solenoid coil with a multimeter or in turn supply 220volts to the coil and see if it clicks but be very care full as to prevent any shocks.I hope that answers your question if you still have any problems then you can Email me at bilal.abid@hotmail.co.uk
Good luck and be carefull.
