size blade?

im having great difficulty putting a 14" chain on
my saw , the old one seems to be slightly bigger
due to ware and tare , but it goes on and off easy
enough .have i got the correct size of chain (14")?

Check the number of drive links in both chains. I suspect your new chain has 1 less link.
