fujitsu seimens computers charging point on laptop?
i have a fujitsu seimens esprimo mobil which is 6 months old it is not working at present because of a charging problem i took it to my local computer shop to eliminate whether it was the charger which it was not or connection on the laptop which he said he could see the pin had moved and it was a very common problem on laptops and was basically a weak point.i phoned the manafactures to see if it would be covered on warranty which was told would not be as it had either been pushed back to far or inserted on the wrong angle we are all adults in my house and rarely was it disconnected from the charger it was swithched of at the mains when not in use as we do not use the laptop for portability as in the full sense of a laptop i mentioned that the fit of the pin of the charger into the laptop should not be sloppy so to be able to be put on a angle and also should not be able to be pushed back to far, i have been invited to send my laptop of for inspection but have been told that 99% i will be charged and am dissastisfied with the comments mentioned it is an expensive repair well over 100 pounds and believe you me do not want to put money in their pockets but i really have no other choice but to get them to mend it otherwise if i dont the rest of my warranty will be void has any body else had problems like this and is there any way of fixing it without taking the laptop apart would appreciate others thoughts about this matter on this make of or any other laptops,in my opinion as a computer speacialist mentioned it is a weak point and if they made a different sort of connecton for the charger into the laptop as it is a pin type any fool could no that would be weak, the nokia phones basic cheap models have a very similar connection i have one and even the phone is over 2years old is still working it seems a much more sturdy connection by either strengthening the area or changing the connecter would eliminate the problem cause as usual the poor old consumer always ends up losing out
