Have I blown my Nintendo DS Lite ?!!?

I have a Nintendo DS Lite that was bought for me in the US. Stupidly I pluged it into a UK socket with only an adapter and not a voltage convertor. (The US are on 110 volts and UK is on 220 volts).

I'm hoping that I have only blown the charger plug and not the DS Lite. I've got a UK plug on order from ebay but can't wait to find out if my DS Lite will ever charge again! (The DS Lite works but the battery is about to die - red light is on).

Any news would be welcome!

try opening it up and checking the internal fuses before paying anyone anything...bit of a pain as you need a three bladed crosshead watchmakers scewdriver (couple of quid on ebay)...why are there so few real answers on this website, just offers to repair at a price?!...thought this site was called how to mend it, not who will mend it at a price?!!!
