I have a problem with my daughters Ford ka2 rear wipers. If I run a wire from the wiper earth to the boot area earth and close the tail gate the wiper works. but without the added wire it wont, this leads me to think that the earth from tail gate to body is bad so \i would like to know where the earth point is.

Hi Dave, the tailgate is earthed at the two top hinges. You need to spray a little WD40 in there and then tap the HINGE PINS with a hammer and nail. That is the most common earth problem with the rear wiper and rarely the motor.

its earthed through boot hindges bang center pins sideways (not all way out) spray with wd40 close and open bootlid then bang pins back to original position should now be ok
