How can I get a decent flush from my push button wc?

After weeks of searching for our desired sanitary ware, tiles etc. And having spent plenty on both. Then having your favourit "Know-all" bathroom installer tell me "it don't flush well"
I'm fed up with making excuses to friends and family as to why they need a big stick if they want to flush even the toilet paper.......
The cistern mechanism is a blue and yellow effot with a long adjusting palstic screw( I think this adjusts the short flush) and a sliding cover at the base (I have no instructions)
Any help/advise...Mike

I've got one! and you have to keep trying different levels of adjustment on that long rod it's a bugger but I got there in the end the instructions aren't much good the following proves it it's a copy of the instruction on what you are trying to do. Persevere these cisterns have built in overflow so keep adjusting the rod up and down the unit float works it seems on a ratchet system. There was a picture beside the instructions below but never copied. Doesn't show much anyway, who ever took the picture if they had got further away you wouldn't be able to see it at all.

7. Adjust the Inlet Valve
to deliver to the 6L
Waterline marked on the
side of the Tank

Good luck you can do it.
