I bought my 237 at the fleamarket for $2 :)

Now do I have to use the attachments made for it (it did not come with any) or can I use any attachments. I have a box of attachments.

Hello Jo,
You don't have to use any specific attachments as long as they are short shank which most are, the most common attachments to use will be, zipper foot, maybe narrow hem foot, bias binding foot if you use bias binding and satin stitch foot make sure this foot is a Singer foot so you can make buttonholes.
