Hi Sharon,
When programming tax, use the code that starts 9 SUBTOTAL ...
Page 8 in my book. Use 1 where it says 'A' if you have one tax rate, and enter the actual rate for 'B'. You may need to use decimal point when entering rate, or sometimes not. Don't worry about the lower limit, just follow the arrow around it.
As for the keyboard problem, I need to know if you mean the '1' button in the numeric keypad area (very bad - probably liquid spillage in the keyboard, or maybe a RAM clear will will fix it), or department button 1 - the wide button to the right of the numeric keypad (usually simple to fix, just wrong status programmed into it).
