This is possibly an electro magnetic problem, (the most obvious answer is): turn the machine to short spin, allow cycle to complete and drum to stop.
leave alone for 10 mins - it says 20 ~ 30 seconds in the book but I've met some strange machines in the past :-)
When you try to open the door, do so gently, a slow gently press - maybe the plastic dog is a bit weak and collapsing under the pressure.
If this fails, remove the top of the machine - theres a couple of screws on the back - knock the lid forwards a bit and you will be able to lift it off.
MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF
With the lid off, you will see the door lock unit, it normally white plastic, it will have 2 wires going to it, these are for the electro magnetic delay lock.
You should be able to open the jaws of the lock with a smallish flat bladed screw driver - you will be able to service the door from the front of the machine now.
The most troublesome parts I've met are normally the plastic bits, they breakdown over time, and believe me 2 years can be long enough!
Hope this helps.
