baxi 105e too much pressure?

my boiler baxi 105e sits at 1.5 bar no problem but when asked for ch pressure goes up and it blows off at 2.5bar whats causing this

most common problem, expansion vessel flat or dead. 95% chance its dead.

options are to recharge it if its ok but flat or
1: replace like for like vessel in boiler
2: fit remote vessel to ch system somewhere hidden.
