the on off switch on my 04 reg corsa sxi has brocken. it is the standerd cd player fitted to all the newer shape corsas the siemens cdr2005vdo. is the any way i can change the switch or is the whole radio goosed? if the radio is turend off it can be turned back on by removing the fuse in the main fuse box and putting it back in and i can control the volume from the steering wheel controls but not the main switch on the radio. all the other radio controls work other then this one switch. any help you can give would be great.

If the switch is open circuit (ie ..it cannot be switched ON ) then if you are OK with electrics you could just short it out so that it is ON all the time the ignition is switched on. You can control the volume from low to high.

Or if you cannot find an identical switch to replace the faulty one, you could wire in another separate ON /OFF switch.

A bit messy though. Perhaps easier to buy a replacement off Ebay
